Sahari Zanzibar, hotel in Bwejuu

Featuring an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Sahari Zanzibar in Bwejuu is on a white, sandy beach. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk.

I moved to another hotel, but it didn't feel as welcoming as Sahari Zanzibar. I decided for the remaining days of my holiday i will enjoy them at Sahari.

Kijani Beach Villas, hotel in Bwejuu

Facing the beachfront, Kijani Beach Villas offers 1-star accommodations in Bwejuu and features an outdoor swimming pool, garden and shared lounge.

The breakfsast and the meals in general were very good. The rooms were quite nice. After we came back from our rides the rooms were always cleaned and tidied up with fresh towels and fresh bottles of water. I was overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff there, specially the manager Aliya. She was always asking if everything was ok, if we needed something, etc. She helped us to organize all the tours (with very good suggestions and providing the driver). On our last day, our flight from Zanzibar to Dubai was cancelled due to poor weather conditions in Dubai. So, again, Aliya suggested and helped us to book a flight from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam and from there we were able to catch a plane to Dubai the next day.

Mustapha' s Place, hotel in Bwejuu

Located in Bwejuu, only steps away from its private beach area, Mustapha' s Place provides accommodations with a restaurant, a bar and an outdoor swimming pool.

We stayed at Mustapha’s Place for nine nights with our 1 and 4 year old. The staff were incredible and so friendly. The pool and playground were so fun for our little ones. The food is really great and priced at a good value. I highly recommend this place for families looking to get off the beaten track and want a truly Zanzibar holiday. We will definitely come back!

Zanzibar Gem Beach Bungalows, hotel in Bwejuu

Zanzibar Gem Beach Bungalows is a recently renovated condo hotel in Bwejuu where guests can make the most of its pool with a view, free bikes, and garden.

The staff were all friendly and helpful! The food was great, and they were able to accommodate any dietary needs. We selected this property in order to cook as we are 4 vegans, and every meal, they had options for us, which we didn't expect. We were so very thankful for being able to accommodate a plant based diet while having other options for the other guests.

Bwejuu is set on a beautiful beach north of Paje.

Bwejuu is set on a beautiful beach north of Paje. There’s a lot to do in the area (caves, forests , spice farms, Rock restaurant) and lots of bars and restaurants however you’ll need transportation to access them. We travelled around the entire island in an hire car which I would highly recommend, was great fun and easy to find our way around. I would say this area is more dirty and littered which is a shame as the rest of the country is really well kept.

We were a family of 10 people.

We were a family of 10 people. I did not expect to walk in sand all over the place. The foliage kept it a little cooler. The pool was fine and clean. I did not expect no air conditioning and trying to stay cool with a standing room fan. Food was Ok - nothing special. The drive from the airport after dark was dangerous. The walk to the beach was short. A few restaurants were open down the beach. We moved to another resort just down the street after one night and had clean rooms, air conditioning, on the beach, great meals. We kept our keys because they said we could not get a refund for the 2nd and 3rd nights we had reserved. They said we could come back and use the pool but did rent out our rooms from the 2nd & 3rd nights. It was more like a hostel but was not advertised well on Booking.com

Bwejuu is a small village with two shops where you can buy groceries and cosmetics. There is public transport there. In the vicinity is bigger village of Paje where there are more restaurants and shops. The beach is absolutely beautiful - white sand, wide a very long (excellent for walks and looking for shells), few people there. The best restaurants are Shanti café and Sahari. You can hire kite board there and teacher for kite boarding. 8 km from Bwejuu is beautiful place where you can watch sunset and enjoy big bar with excellent drinks and good music for dancing.

    Bwejuu has a great beach.

Bwejuu has a great beach. It is relatively quiet with only a few people working the beach to sell tours etc. We met some friendly locals and joined in some birthday celebrations, which was fun. Best be aware that there is a big tide so you can’t swim all the time. When the tide is in, the water is shallow and very warm. In the evenings there is a warm breeze that is refreshing and keeps the mosquitoes away.

    Bwejuu area is very disappointing.

Bwejuu area is very disappointing. It has a beach that cannot be enjoyed, far from everywhere, much more expensive than Nungwi and much lower quality. It is a complete mess. I don’t understand why Paje and Bwejuu area are so famous

Where to start! What a gorgeous little gem this place was! Hidden away in a quiet spot on the beach so but still easy to get to the main event places in Paje ect... Staff were so so nice and my room was lovely, nice big bed and super clean (this has not always been my experience with other hotels in the area). Waited a little long for food but honestly the big menu made up for it and it was cooked perfectly. Wish I could have extended my stay, I'll be back soon!

Never have I ever stayed in such a beautiful hotel with such friendly staff. I felt truly welcome throughout my entire stay. Our bungalow was basically straight on the beach with a swimming pool and other facilities around the corner. While we very much enjoyed the food & drinks in the restaurant, our little son especially enjoyed playing in the kid's corner. Communication with the staff when arranging different trips was also very good. Truly great experience!

If you're looking for a place to really connect with nature, and tune in to your inner self, this is just the perfect place to be. The hotel gives you an experience to really sink into the African culture, their interiors and the whole estate show it. The staff are extremely and genuinely kind, nice and helpful. Thank you for this wonderful solo travel experience, Bellevue. I am definitely going back with my husband next time.

The breakfast was exceptional; we were served fresh fruits with lot of variety for the main course, and the sizes were satisfactory. Pia and Asham were very hospitable; always checking on us and going extra mile to help with everything we needed. Their staff are all friendly and professional. The hotel is amazingly on the beach, literally on the doorstep and we had a tour during a low tide that was offered free of charge.

A superb hotel! Everything was perfect, starting with the beautiful beach, much better than some of the better known places on the island, and the pools. The accommodation was just amazing, everything clean and put together, the rooms are very nice and big! The staff is friendly and helpful! Breakfast is diversified and rich, but also restaurant with delicious food! We will come back with pleasure!

Heaven on earth! We felt like we suddenly have a family with a private beach house in Sansibar. Pia, Hashim, the Massai Barraka and the rest of the crew, included the two dogs and Minosch the cat were so nice, we already miss them, excellent food, everything was made with love. We were really so sad to leave. The service was like in a small leading hotel of the world. A true gem!

The staff was super friendly, we really miss Warda and the rest of the team. The owner, Josie was also super accomodating and shared her gym equipment with me. The pool was beautiful and the morning sunrises magical. The hotel is admittedly a paradise. The yoga was super nice combined with the brunch on Sunday. Room was delightful as well as the beach.

Due to the Italian owner the quality of food, beverage and even the solid rooms and bath equipment is exceptional for Zanzibar. The chef and all staff are well educated to serve customer oriented. It's a quit and relativly small hotel with relaxing and familiar atmosphere. Ideal for couples in honey moon. No tourism overloading.

Dreamy property, we were a family of 5 traveling for the Christmas holidays. The property is so well maintained, it is lush and green, beautifully located on the beach. The villas are spaced out and you feel total privacy and peace. Everyone is so caring and nothing is ever too much trouble. Asante Sana to the team at Baraza!

The property was very clean and relaxing. The staff was welcoming and made you feel at home. It has a very “feel at home” vibe, as this place is composed of only 6 bungalows. You get the privacy of a hotel, minus all the chaos of a hotel. It’s super close to the beach as well.
