Staff were brilliant. We had an issue with the air con in the first room and we were moved rooms very quickly. The Breakfast team were lovely, the whole service was super personal and very welcoming. Great location and good to have parking.

Not as good as I thought it would be. Most of the restaurants are generic with low quality food. The exceptions are The Ship and Crown and another one a little further along whose name I have forgotten but which serves Michelin Star quality food. The bus service to the rest of the island is excellent and the drivers are like tourist guides. They are so friendly and helpful. Personally, buses are the best way to get around Guernsey. Bikes are OK, but definitely not car. Shops and cafes are a bit basic. The best thing about Guernsey by far is the south coast which should be discovered by taking the bus to the start (or halfway) and walking the rest of the way. Many of the secluded beaches and bays can only be reached by foot and one only has ladder access. Stunning scenery at every turn.

St Peter Port is lovely lively as long as you can cope with the steep slopes. Plenty of fish restaurants , we ate at Pier 17 and several smaller cafes . Lots of history to take in ,the local people are very friendly. An excellent bus service. The Millennium tapestry is fascinating and there is the castle too. We were lucky enough to be there for liberation day ,A public holiday with a parade through the town and a service of remembrance.... A colourful fun relaxed day with everyone enjoying a public holiday.

Plenty of small independent shops, interesting lanes and alleys. Constant activity in the extensive harbour. A range of eateries all along the esplanade with great views., picked a different ones night. Everything easily accessible on foot (if you don't mind hills and cobbles!).
Too much scaffolding and major building work: maybe finished by summer?

Nothing was too much trouble polite courteous staff.
Nothing was too much trouble polite courteous staff. Perfect in every way so much so I extended my stay over New Year. Unfortunately didn’t have a mobility room, wet room, but agreed for me to use the pool disabled facilities for which I was most grateful.
In fact the staff were so welcoming I felt like royalty.
The breakfast buffet was 1st class with so many options. I did have the full English breakfast one day only as the food wasn’t as hot as it should have been so ordered of the specials menu.
Cost, location, hot water heater for tea/coffee, breakfast baskets, Information binder, area resource information (Tours, things to do in and around the area, bus schedules), ease of getting to bus stop, and most of all the friendly morning staff. I also liked that other guests respected the need to be quiet in the evenings. Rather than a hotel or guest house it felt more like a dorm room…one can hear everyone coming and going and even talking in their rooms. I was out a lot so It met my needs for a place to rest.
Le Chene is an easy ten minute walk from the airport which made it so convenient. it's also on the main bus route - the stops are right outside so we could get a bus to St Peter Port or around the island - the owner kindly gave us a Puffin Pass so that made it even easier. Our room was small but comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Altogether an excellent hotel.
the service was amazing.. its more than our expecttion.. we arrived late to hotel.. when we got there mr nick the owner was really nice, he was giving us everything we need in our rooms.. drop us to the resturant nearby.. and gave us idea where to go in town proper.. 100% satisfied with the service and highly recommend it to my friends and family.. thank you..

The hotel was easy to find although the parking is way insufficient.
The staff are really friendly and helpful.
The room was modern, very clean and very comfortable.
The breakfast was brilliant and the evening dinners were very good and very large !
The hotel is a 10 minute stroll to St Peter Port and I have to say the Guerns are really friendly people.
The room was very very attractive as was the bathroom, and the bathroom was also clean and attractive. The shower was decent (very important to us and not always something you can rely on in hotels!). The staff was accommodating in the special request I made beforehand as well. We’ll be doing this again!
The hotel is really well situated for access into the centre of St Peter Port. The room was very comfortable and the shower room was very good. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good with a choice of dishes. The food in the Pickled Pig bar/restaurant was also very good.
The location was just right for walking into St Peter Port and finding buses to explore the Island. It was clean and tidy with tea and coffee, ironing board and hairdryer available. The breakfast basket gave us a variety of breakfast options each morning. The cost of the room was just right for us.
A wonderful view from the room with beautiful balcony.Breakfast was excellent and served by attentive and friendly staff. We also had an evening meal at the hotel which was delicious and all meals served in the reaturant that had superb views over St Peter Port and the harbour.
The location if the hotel is exceptional with a view over the bay and the islands of Herm and Sark. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were good, with the extra bonus of cakes and desserts that are out of this world.
The hotel was very relaxed, staff were friendly and helpful and the health suite was well equipped with a lovely pool. We felt relaxed in the coffee/bar area and the gardens were lovely to walk around or just to sit in and relax. We would definitely stay again.
The hotel was really centrally located in Guernsey’s St Peter Port. To me it felt more like a 4-star hotel rather than 3-star. The staff was really helpful and friendly, the food and breakfast selection were really decent and the rooms were clean and tidy.
it’s in the perfect place beautiful views staff are excellent and go the extra mile couldn’t fault the place it’s better than a lot of 5 star hotels real value for money
This hotel was recommended to me by a local, & it didn’t disappoint. Staff were friendly & helpful. I didn’t eat an evening meal there but the breakfast was excellent.
