There were a few issues at breakfast. I didn't feel the sausages were properly cooked and the eggs were over cooked.

Welcoming Galway is a small city with fantastic nightlife and an infectious atmosphere. Outside of the Galway Arts Festival, there’s still plenty of live music in the Irish pubs to get the party started.
The Galway Races at Ballybrit Race Course west of Galway Airport attract a good crowd, as does Eyre Square, a green space with flags of previous ruling families who gave it its nickname - City of Tribes. To the south are cobbled streets housing brightly coloured shops and restaurants.
Sights in Galway include its cathedral and city museum which offers an interesting insight into the history of the city and Ireland. Lynch’s Castle is the last remaining 17th-century merchant house, and the Spanish Arch is a small section of city walls by the Corrib River, linking Galway Bay to huge Loch Corrib. Where river and ocean meet is Claddagh Park, a great spot for a picnic with a view.
Further around the coast is Salthill Promenade, home to Atlantaquaria, Ireland’s national aquarium, focussing on sealife off Irish shores. It’s a Christmas Day tradition to jump from Blackrock Diving Tower nearby into the icy Atlantic Ocean, though you may well spot some wag giving it a go.

Galway was a great place to start our touring along the Wild Atlantic Way meandering along the coastline and through the national parks. Galway City has plenty to offer with great food, accommodation, cafes, walks, shopping, even catching the bus to Salthill and walk along the promenade and least but not last great Guinness.

I wish I could say I loved my time in Galway.
I wish I could say I loved my time in Galway. After spending 9 days touring Ireland, Galway felt like a tourist trap. I have heard great things about this town so was really disappointed. It was a cute town, but extremely busy and packed full of tourists. We had a hard time getting dinner and missed hanging out with locals. The only bright spot about that day was that the Leonardo hotel was wonderful! It was a fantastic location, easy to get in and out of, clean and bright. Really fantastic breakfast!

Lovely family holiday in Spiddal where some of my in-laws family lived. Galway is so lovely but did not get to enjoy the city this time around. We did however come in the city to do the Corrib River boat cruise which was thoroughly enjoyable. Had a lovely coffee and cannoli at Bar Italia Ciarlantini while waiting to board the ferry.

Very friendly and helpful staff and we received an upgrade on arrival. Room was very clean and tidy. Plenty of towels in the bathroom and even a bath with our shower. Evening meal was excellent at a very reasonable cost . Breakfast buffet was exceptional with a vast verity to choose from including vegetarian. There was a public bus stop just outside the wall of the the hotel going in and out of town every day mostly every 30 minutes. It’s only a 20 minutes casual walk in a straight line so very convenient for a bit of exercise, will be staying there again soon, everything was excellent

First of all, it is the people who make Galway special.
First of all, it is the people who make Galway special. In addition, we liked being able to walk everywhere in Galway. We enjoyed walking along the river and the bay, and sitting on the wall along the water at the harbor. Galway Museum at Spanish Arch was enlightening. Streets restricted to pedestrians made it safe and easy to stroll and browse as we passed by uplifting live music. There were so many pubs and restaurants serving every type of food that you may want. The ice cream and gelato shops, Gourmet Tarts, Butler's Chocolates, and Farmers' Market had special treats to enjoy. The Galway Bay Seafood Chowder at Blakes on Quay Street was the best chowder I've ever had in my life, and I've always liked chowder. Aran Sweater Market shipped my purchase of sweaters and hat home for me with quick, courteous and efficient service. Loved the humor of the local people whom we met while strolling in the neighborhoods. One caution, don't let something go by thinking that you will pick up a last minute item in the morning before leaving Galway to catch the train or a bus as this is the time the shops are closed for deliveries of new supplies. Glad I did what I wanted to do from the moment I arrived because there is so much to see and do!
The Stop is probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I got a personal tour the moment I stepped in, and the staff continued to be personable and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was incredible, the room clean, quiet, and comfortable, the furnishings unique, and the simple comfort of having tea and cookies to come back to at the end of the night was such a joy. The owners put care into every inch of the property and guest experience. I’d fly back to Ireland just to stay here again (and I’m only mostly joking).
I really enjoyed my 3 night stay here! The suites were clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything was very quiet. Being a bit outside of the city meant no noise. It's about a 15 minute walk to the city center and it's an easy walk (no need to cross any major streets). There's free parking below the building as well.
I was originally a bit nervous about staying in repurposed college dorms (US college dorms are, in general, not nice), but this functions as a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.
The location was amazing and the facilities were clean. 2 rooms with a double/single bed were cheaper than another hotel that was not close to the city center. We were able to leave our car on site even though we had checked out so we were able to spend extra time in Galway!!! The even let us leave our electronics in the office to give us piece of mind, rather than leave them in the car. Breakfast had good options.
Our stay in the hotel was was really nice experience. Good starting point to explore Galway.
The room was quite big and very comfortable. Large comfortable bed, easy to use coffee machine, enough storage space.
Hotel was really clean and quite. The staff was kind and helpful. The food in hotel restaurant was tasty.
Good location, just a few minutes to the city center by bus. The bus stop just in front of the hotel.
We had the absolute best time at the Balcony House! Teresa is the sweetest host - she made us feel so welcome and right at home in Galway. The homemade breakfast was amazing, the rooms and facilities were spotless, and it was the coziest place we stayed during our trip to Ireland. We absolutely adored it and would recommend to anyone looking for a switch up from a traditional hotel room experience.
The room and bathroom was very spacious and we had our own balcony which wasn't expected. The pool was well heated and the staff were pleasant to interact with and responded to any requests we had. While the hotel is located 15 mins outside the city centre, there is a bus available to the city and salthill located right outside the hotel, which was very convenient so we didn'talways need to drive.
Comfortable if unspectacular hotel close enough to the city center with decor that feels pretty old fashioned. But everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable, but I would expect a bit more for the price I paid, although granted it may have been a bit higher because of the Christmas holidays. All in all a nice stay in Galway.
Galway as a city is just amazing which including this hotel.
The food, drinks and location is on point
The staff is nothing but amazing along with the Irish people which take it to another level.
I had so much fun in the cities of Galway, Donegal and Dublin.
I appreciate the love, the openness, from the country of Ireland see you soon
The hosts were amazing, meet us are the door and welcomed us in. The breakfast was the best we had the best we had the entire trip to Ireland! They were very accommodating and were great people to talk too.
It is walking distance to town center for pubs and entertainment.
The property is in a very central location. It had a lot of history connected to the hotel. The breakfast was really nice. We had recently stayed in lots of hotels in Ireland and I would rate this the best breakfast. The staff are also very friendly.
The room was very spacious and clean. There was a little fridge and a kettle, which were very useful.
The hotel is not too far from the city center (25 mins on foot), so you can visit the most emblematic places walking.
It was a very nice stay! :)
We enjoyed our recent stay (Oct. 1-3) at Ardawn House.
The bed is very comfortable.
Free parking next to the hotel entrance.
The breakfast was delicious and varied.
Great location - within walking distance of the city center.
Highly recommend.
The owners of Adare Guesthouse are incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, only a 5 minutes walk from the city centre. Adare Guesthouse is a wonderful place to stay in Galway and I look forward to coming back in the future.
Friendly and welcoming staff, surprisingly good location. Even though the hotel is located about 5 km from the city center, it was easily approachable by buses. The buses stop right in front of the hotel. Tasty food in the restaurant.
The hotel has a nice location, near to the main roads and not so far from the city center. All the staff is attentive and nice. The room is comfy. The breakfast is ok.
