Located in Dundalk, the family-run Ballymascanlon Hotel and Golf Resort is set within 130 acres of parkland. Beautiful property with lovely historic gardens behind the main building. The rooms were comfortable and had good bathrooms. Internet worked well. The bar cafe had good food and friendly staff. The breakfast room had great food and was nicely arranged. One staff member recommended a local pub that was also great.

Flynns of Termonfeckin Boutique Hotel is located on the banks of the Ballywater River and is a 10-minute walk from the beach and a 5-minute drive from Drogheda. Beautiful rooms and location fabulous breakfast and staff were so nice. There is a lovely bar attached also.

The Glenside is located in beautiful countryside just 1.2 mi from Drogheda and 3.1 mi from the beach at Bettystown. There is a bar, a la carte restaurant and free parking. The place was very well kept. The restaurant/ bar were very good and the servers were very friendly and fun. I REALLY appreciated that I'd made a note on the reso that we would be there on my wife's birthday. Didn't hear anything back so didn't expect anything. But a knock on our room door shortly after checking in....it was the owners with a plate of fruit and baked items and Happy Birthday in chocolate along with their singing too. You guys are wonderful. Thank you!

Escape to The Carrickdale for comfort and indulgence on the Cooley Peninsula. It has a health club, a fitness center and the therapeutic Serenity Spa. The absolutely gorgeous hidden garden across the street from the hotel- we spent over an hour there - so many pretty flowers and plants to look at! The cafe was good as well with a lovely view of the gazebo and flowers
